The film with no name.

So I made a film this semester. It’s been four months of spinning many many feet of film in a quiet room alone, but it is finally done. The film centers around domestic gestures – cooking in particular. It consists of multiple layers of 16mm film printed together on an optical printer to create one image. The textures are created from hand sewing I put straight into clear litre. Here’s a sneak peak at some stills:

The currently nameless film will be screening for the first time ever this Monday at 7pm in NSCAD’s academy building and in January during my solo exhibition “Knit One, Purl Two” opening January 7th at the Anna Leonowens Gallery.

See you on Monday maybe?
