Unfinished Business.

I spent 14 hours at school yesterday, I have a really gross blister, and I’ve spent more money then I like to think about on art supplies. It’s good to be back NSCAD.

The good news is I have this really awesome new studio. I challenge someone to have a better studio then me. It’s just not possible.

For my first few paintings of the semester I’ve decided to do a few double portraits. It occurred to me last semester that the only paintings I’ve ever done of two or more people have always been of models. They’ve always come across looking entirely indifferent to each other. So instead of models I’m going to use pairs of people who have real, substantial relationships with each other.

I began with my across-the-street-neighbours Adam and David.

They’re pretty awesome.

Anywho, it’s still a work in progress. I’m basically just pretending I’m Alice Neel. We’ll see how that works out. Heres a photo it’s current state in my spacious beautiful studio.
